Greencells GmbH Early Redemption of their Secured Green Bond 2020/2025 at 102% of the Nominal Amount

Greencells GmbH, a global provider of EPC and O&M services specializing in utility-scale solar power plants, has announced the early redemption of their secured 6.5% Green Bond 2020/2025, with a volume of approximately 47 million euros. The redemption is set to take effect on July 29, 2024, at 102% of the nominal amount. This decision comes as a strategic move in alignment with the company’s future endeavors in the renewable energy sector.

CEO of Greencells GmbH, Andreas Hoffmann, expressed gratitude towards investors for their trust and commitment to renewable energy. The injection of capital from sustainable investments has significantly fueled the unprecedented growth of the industry. Hoffmann asserted that the company will continue to play a vital role in the energy transition, focusing primarily on the EPC business in the European market, driven by the historical surge in demand.

In addition to their existing „Full EPC“ business, the Greencells Group will shift towards emphasizing the less capital-intensive areas of „EPC light,“ „General Contracting,“ and „Construction only.“ Simultaneously, the sales process for the development portfolio and platform of Greencells Group Holdings Ltd. will continue, with an anticipated successful conclusion expected in the second half of 2024.
