Neuzugang bei den Straubing Tigers: Pascal Seidel wird neuer Torhüter der niederbayerischen DEL-Mannschaft

In a move that has excited fans, the Straubing Tigers have announced the signing of goalkeeper Pascal Seidel as their third goalie for the upcoming season. The 21-year-old player joins the team after spending the last two seasons with Eislöwen Dresden.

Pascal Seidel, standing tall at 1.91m and weighing 83 kg, started his career in the Schüler-Bundesliga before progressing through various junior teams of Düsseldorfer EG. His journey led him to the DEG professionals and the Oberliga where he played for ESC Moskitos Essen. Seidel gained valuable experience in DEL2 with Dresden and even had appearances for Black Dragons Erfurt.

Reflecting on the new addition, Sports Director Jason Dunham praised Seidel’s dynamic and ambitious nature, stating, „He brings the necessary energy and determination required to succeed. We are committed to supporting his development into a professional hockey player and enhancing his skills.“

As the Straubing Tigers gear up for the 2024/25 DEL season, their preseason preparations are solidifying. Following their first preseason game against EV Landshut on August 18th, the team will host the Gäuboden Cup in Straubing. Unlike previous years, this edition of the tournament is scheduled for Thursday, August 29th, to Saturday, August 31st, outside the Gäuboden Volksfest period.

Participating teams in the Gäuboden Cup include ERC Ingolstadt, Nürnberg Ice Tigers, and the debut of Czech top-tier team Mountfield HK. This lineup promises an exciting spectacle for hockey enthusiasts in Straubing.
