Verheerender Brand in Ellens: Feuerwehr rettet Menschen und Hunde aus Mehrfamilienhaus

In Ellens, a small village in Zetel, a tragic incident occurred on the night from Saturday to Sunday. A multi-family house was engulfed in flames, prompting the Zetel Volunteer Fire Department to be called to the scene around 4 am. The fire rapidly spread to the attic, leading to a complete burnout by the early morning hours, as confirmed by the Neuenburg Volunteer Fire Department, which was also mobilized to assist.

The multi-family house comprised several residential units, and the occupants had to be rescued by the brave firefighters from the raging inferno. Five individuals and two dogs were safely retrieved from the burning building. The injured parties were promptly transferred to nearby hospitals by the emergency medical services for further treatment.

As of now, the emergency responders are still actively engaged in extinguishing any remaining fire remnants. The firefighting operations included the deployment of a turntable ladder to enhance the firefighting efforts. Although the precise cause of the fire has not yet been determined, investigations are ongoing to ascertain the origin of the blaze.
