In an extensive radar speed check conducted on the B229 in Werdohl, Eveking, between 07:10 and 12:46 on December 27, 2024, the Kreispolizeibehörde Märkischer Kreis recorded a staggering 813 vehicles. Among these, 74 drivers received a warning, and 16 were issued formal notices for speeding violations. Notably, the highest speed recorded was an alarming 81 km/h in a zone restricted to 50 km/h within a built-up area, underscoring the urgent need for compliance with traffic regulations. No driving bans were imposed during this operation, but the figures highlight a significant issue concerning adherence to speed limits in the area.
